|
|
Hi all,
I am looking to update the poller from cmp.php/spine to cactid to deal with the large number of nodes I need to poll. I have installed a new server using the current CactiEZ 0.4 iso only to find that cactid is not included in the default installation.
How best can I upgrade to cactid from a fresh install or have a missed something to include cactid?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

| Spine is the new name for cactid. CactiEZ uses it by default.

i just saw the post for version 0.6 .. WOW .. looks promissing ..
is there an estameted release time ?
is there perhaps an option for a commercial version with optional support ?
this way u can generate some funds for the time u spend ?
( giving money is sometimes hard, buying a product is easy ..)

Actually To configure nagios on http://cactiusers.org/wiki/CactiEZInfo is mileading since practically the configuring part had to be done manually in the config files. IMHO.
Nice job btw

| I am just waiting for the next version of Cacti to come out, which should be soon. That way I don't have 100 ppl asking for a new version in a few weeks.

Hello,
I want to use CactiEZ v0.4 in a Virtual Machine. The installation, exept the LSI stuff, works fine.
Now I want to log in to OS to configure the interface but the login failed.
The CD menu and the wiki said the password for root is CactiEZ but it doesn't work.
How do I get access to the root shell?

| The root password is CactiEZ. Make sure you are logging at the OS Prompt, and not the Cacti login screen.

Thanks, but this is the password I typed again, again and again.
The Solution is quite simple... On german keyboards 'z' and 'y' are inverted. I noticed it while I typed very, very angry the password as user name and "CactiEY" appeard.
