Post Cacti dead after enabling plugin
I have recently upgraded Cacti to 0.8.7e, and installed the plugin architecture - version 2.6.

Upon enabling the monitor plugin in global.php, Cacti displays a blank screen and its as if it were dead.

If I disable the plugin, Cacti works again.

Am I missing something? Thank you for any advice you can give me - I had this working before the upgrade.

Here's the error from the apache logs:

Code:
[Wed Jan 27 08:29:56 2010] [error] [client IP Hidden] PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /usr/share/cacti/include/global.php on line 56

It appears line 56 is:

Code:
$config['url_path'] = '/';

Post Re: Cacti dead after enabling plugin
I installed the same, and I find myself need to modify the statement in global.php to the following:

$config['url_path'] = '/cacti/';

as the cacti directory is under /var/www/html, and the apache Root documents is /www/var/html.

as previously, the url to the cacti page is http://serverip/cacti, hence the need to modify the path to point to 'cacti'.

HTH.

Well the plugins were working before the upgrade.

My cacti path is http://cacti.ourdomain.com

Hi,

Perhaps that are hidden control characters that causes the error, perhaps you could post your config.php.

Or you try the suggested methods posted on the site below to find out the issue.

Nope, the cacti path has to be / - if i change it, the images are all out of whack.

As soon as I enable the monitor plugin, cacti displays a blank page.

I'm giving up at this point unless anyone else has seen this. This was an upgrade.
