I truncated the syslog table by mistake and syslog is not working anymore. I am new to cacti and I cannot find any good documentation about configure syslog. Can anyone give some good links about cacti syslog?

from the command line
service syslog restart that may do the trick.

Yes after restart the syslog-ng service, it started to work again
