For example: The mac_track (from beta3 CD) shows "error" for the condition under the device. In the course of troubleshooting, it would be great to know more details of the error.

A lot of the plugins, including Mac Track will display plenty of debug info, but only if you run the poller manually. I have been working on placing more debug logging into my plugins, the next version of a few of them actually incorporate spitting out to the cacti log, when set to Debug.
I'm not sure really at this point if I need the extra bandwidth or not, as it is now, I barely using 50G/month which is only a 20th of my limit, but that may skyrocket when the CD is officially released. I hope to have Netflow completely integrated by Tuesday, so when that is done, then we will be one step closer to release, as there isn't much other than that, that I want to add.
