at the beginnig I want to thank you for the very helpful tools for Cacti.

Each hostname in our Cisco environment contains a "/" which makes successful backups a little nightmare. So I've decided to use a underscore instead of a slash in the device description field at every device entry. This works and makes a backup possible but only one time as after the backup has been made from the Cisco device the entry in the description field will be replaced with the original device hostname which contains a "/". I've searched through all settings of Router Configs but was not able to find anything which prevents the renaming of the description field.

So at this point the question Is it possible to disable the renaming? Maybe via setting which I've missed or directly in the php script by decommenting the function? If yes which line(s) must be decommented (I'm an absolutly php noob)?
