i was having a bit of trouble with the v0.2 enable password when it wouldn't save a new account i created in authentication tab. i have got round this now by updating the router_accounts table in mysql.
i have also got manual backups to work to tftp from cisco devices to my cacti tftp folder. the backup initiated from cacti still doesn't work and i seen a post about recreating the devices in cacti but this doesn't work for me. i went on to one of my cisco routers to see the debugging info and it doesn't look like the routerconfigs plugin is passing the credentials through. i use ACS with tacacs which i have seen mentioned in other posts so i assume it is supported?
the output from my cisco router is: 2w3d: Telnet2: 1 1 251 1 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent WILL ECHO (1) 2w3d: Telnet2: 2 2 251 3 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent WILL SUPPRESS-GA (3) 2w3d: Telnet2: 80000 80000 253 24 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent DO TTY-TYPE (24) 2w3d: Telnet2: 10000000 10000000 253 31 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent DO WINDOW-SIZE (31) 2w3d: AAA: parse name=tty2 idb type=-1 tty=-1 2w3d: AAA: name=tty2 flags=0x11 type=5 shelf=0 slot=0 adapter=0 port=2 channel=0 2w3d: AAA/MEMORY: create_user (0x285EB04) user='NULL' ruser='NULL' ds0=0 port='t ty2' rem_addr='X.X.X.X' authen_type=ASCII service=LOGIN priv=1 initial_tas k_id='0', vrf= (id=0) 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/START (142423230): port='tty2' list='authen_tacacs' action=LOGI N service=LOGIN 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/START (142423230): found list authen_tacacs 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/START (142423230): Method=tacacs+ (tacacs+) 2w3d: TAC+: send AUTHEN/START packet ver=192 id=142423230 2w3d: TAC+: ver=192 id=142423230 received AUTHEN status = GETUSER 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN (142423230): status = GETUSER 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WILL WINDOW-SIZE (31) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WILL TTY-SPEED (32) (refused) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent DONT TTY-SPEED (32) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WILL TTY-TYPE (24) 2w3d: Telnet2: Sent SB 24 1 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WILL NEW-ENVIRON (39) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent DONT NEW-ENVIRON (39) (unimplemented) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received DO ECHO (1) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WILL SUPPRESS-GA (3) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet sent DO SUPPRESS-GA (3) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received DO SUPPRESS-GA (3) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WONT X-DISPLAY (35) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WONT ENVIRONMENT (36) 2w3d: Telnet2: recv SB NAWS 80 24 2w3d: Telnet2: recv SB 32 0 38400,38400 2w3d: Telnet2: recv SB 39 0 38400,38400[Unrecognized] 2w3d: Telnet2: recv SB 24 0 XTERM,38400 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WONT ECHO (1) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WONT LINEMODE (34) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received DONT STATUS (5) 2w3d: TCP2: Telnet received WONT LOCAL-FLOW (33) 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/ABORT: (142423230) because Carrier dropped. 2w3d: TAC+: send abort reason=Carrier dropped 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/ABORT: (142423230) because Carrier dropped. 2w3d: TAC+: send abort reason=Carrier dropped 2w3d: AAA/MEMORY: free_user (0x285EB04) user='NULL' ruser='NULL' port='tty2' rem _addr='X.X.X.X' authen_type=ASCII service=LOGIN priv=1
these lines in particular worry me but i can't find anymore info on these errors: 2w3d: AAA/MEMORY: create_user (0x285EB04) user='NULL' ruser='NULL' ds0=0 port='t ty2' rem_addr='X.X.X.X' authen_type=ASCII service=LOGIN priv=1 initial_tas 2w3d: AAA/AUTHEN/ABORT: (142423230) because Carrier dropped. 2w3d: TAC+: send abort reason=Carrier dropped
is cacti sending a null users value and using logon privlege of 1? the tacac account is created on the ACS server itself not a connection to an ldap/nt database.
any help appreciated.

Re: Routerconfigs v0.2 getting there
I can't comment or support alpha versions of plugins (its not ready yet!). It will be released once I find time to finish it.
