Post HELP WITH ALERTS (THOLD) BY MAIL IN CACTI
Hi friends , i need your help with Cacti thold.

Good afternoon, I'm with cacti installed and configured, I am monitoring my servers, services and everything.
However, I need that when a service of some my server stops working, or a server stops working, I receive an alert in my email. How? How I do it? Somebody help me! The Cactus has this function?
I've tried in many ways set, but I can not.
I do not know if I have to change something in sendmail, or some configuration file, therefore, by CACTI, tried in various ways and could not.

Look my screens.

You show where you setup the threshold templates, but not where you setup the thresholds themselves. Oh and the sendmail option may not work for you, there is a minor bug in it.

Its not a bug, its a user error. I wrote it so ofcourse I can help you configure it (via these forums, I'm not going to login onto your system and do it for you), you just aren't giving enough information.

1. Click the console tab.
2. Under "Management" click "Thresholds"
3. Change the drop down next to "State" from "Triggered" to "Any"
4. Does it now show anything? If you not, then you haven't set any up.

To setup a threshold using the templates you already created (there are multiple ways, this is just one of them)
1. Click the console tab.
2. Under "Management" click "Devices"
3. Check the box next to a device (on the far right)
4. At the bottom change the dropdown next to "Choose an action:" to "Apply Thresholds". Hit "OK". On the next screen hit "Yes".
5. Go back to the 1st 4 steps above and check and see if the thresholds are now showing up

As I said earlier, switch it off of "Sendmail" to either php or SMTP. Sendmail implementation has a bug in it.
