does anyone have any docs for setting up LDAP authentication in cacti.
it looks straight forward but i get this error:
LDAP Error: General bind error, LDAP result: Can't contact LDAP server
in the user log it just says failed beside my user name.
i;m running in a w2k domain but have tried selecting v2 and v3 of ldap and get same error. i can ping the ldap server from my cacti box and port 389 is open.
thanks.

Re: LDAP Error: General bind error
Hi spark,
A bit late but what I found helpful were ldap logs.
But first you may need to enable logging on your ldap server (not the messages or syslog, but a slapd.log).
On your ldap server modify /etc/syslog.conf with
local4.* /var/log/slapd.log
Then restart the syslog daemon and your ldap server.
Then tickle ldap via Cacti and look in it for details.
It helped me debug some really obtuse stuff like when I config'd pGina on XP for our OpenLDAP servers or Drupal LDAP configs, etc...
