Post SMTP error 220 with thold
hello friends

i am getting following error while trying to send test email from settings.

Sending Message...

ERROR: Error returned by SMTP host: 220 *******************************************************************************
Error returned by SMTP host: 220 *******************************************************************************

Any ideas what could be the reason??

i can sent email from server running cacti.. but getting this error from web interface.

Thold version 0.4.1
PLugin arch version 2.5
cacti version 0.8.7e

Sorry for bumping such an old thread. I see exactly this same behavior when an "smtp inspection" feature is turned "on" at the firewall in front of my host. Once the smtp host was exempted from that inspection feature the problem went away. Hopefully this helps someone searching out this problem in the future.
