Post deploying an weathermap plugin
hi :)

I'm just trying to install "Network Weather Map" plugin on my cacti.

After install the latest version of cacti(it was 0.8.7e), i patched the plugin architecture. (http://mirror.cactiusers.org/downloads/ ... A-v2.5.zip)

no error found on patch progress.

then i downloaded "network weather map".

i dropped the binary into "cacti/plugins/" and unzipped that file.

as instruction says, the /include/global.php file was changed.(cacti path and $plugins[])

then "weathermap" icon was created.

but i can not access that tab.

it shows,

Access Denied
You are not permitted to access this section of Cacti. If you feel that you need access to this particular section, please contact the Cacti administrator.

To fix it, i tried all methods on google, but no solutions was effective.

The point is,
in "Realm Permissions" area in "User Management" menu,
there is no "View Weathermap" checkbox.

so i tested some other plugins, and the "links" plugin was appeared in "Realm Permissions". But "Superlinks" plugin was not appeared in, and it has same problem with weathermap. It denies user access, too.

What is the problem? is it a bug? i've seen SO MANY article about this problem, but no solutions was found.

i thought the latest release is the best way of avoid bugs. so i installed latest stable version of cacti and pluginArch.
is there anything i've miss on configuring progress?
i read all instructions and followed.

i'm spending whole 2 days on it....

please help me....

thanx.

Post Re: deploying an weathermap plugin
In case you haven't solved this already and for anyone else that lands on this page I found the answer @ http://forums.cacti.net/about34048.html.
The pa.sql file that is located in the cacti-plugin-0.8.7e-PA-v2.5 folder needs to be imported to your cacti database.

This information wasn't included in any of the HOWTO's I followed but it's explained in the README.txt file. Funny that.

The syntax is [YourServer]# mysql -u root -p cacti < pa.sql.

Hope this helps others :P
