Hello,

I currently have cacti installed as followed

Cacti
Version: 0.8.7b

Plugin Architecture
Version: 2.1

my directory structure is ubuntu and is on /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/

When I add the folder to the plugins directory I do not see anything in the plugins tab for installing them. There is only one plugin i have been able to get to view and install was the cacti-nagios plugin. It is really depressing lol any help appreciated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What plugin? what is the folder name you are creating for the plugin?

Hi, I am installing nTop to /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/ntop

the ntop folder has all the files needed for the plugin. I have followed the read me that just unzip to /plugins/ntop

Please let me know if you need any other info.

Ntop (which is only an iframe to show your current NTop install, it doesn't have any real functionality of its own) doesn't support the new architecture, but it should still show in the Plugin Management area (just not installable from there).

You may want to go ahead and install it the old way by adding it to the $plugins array in
/usr/share/cacti/site/include/global.php
then set permissions in cacti (User Management) to allow you to see the NTop tab.

I would like to close this as I have figured out why this was not working. I did not know i needed to run apt-get install ntop as well and run ntop before cacti would see the plugin.
