Post Thold - specific email address per host
Hello,

this is my first message here, and I'd like to thank a lot the cacti and the thold programmers, you do a great job, thanks.

I have a question about the thold plugin, do you know if it is possible to assign a specific email per host (if one specific is down, I'd like that one specific person receives an email) ?

Thank you.

Console->Thresholds->{choose a host under description}
at the bottom there is a text area for alert email for that host.

Your method is well in order to add an email for a data source, but here, I want to add an email address for a host if this host is down (no SNMP response, no ping answers). For that, I've only the "general" email address in the Thold settings, but I don't want that everybody knows when one specific host is down.

For the moment, I use a ping threshold (if it is equal to 0, the host seems down, but I don't think that's the most elegant way).

Hello Niccos,

you can add specific email recipients under Other setting - Alert E-Mail per Data Source/threshold, otherwise the mail address(es) from Settings - Alerting/Thold - General - Alert e-mail are used.
