Mr_Poche has provided a nice little add on to cacti that I thought might work well as either a feature addition to the threshold plugin or as a plugin in it's own right.
It allows notification via pager and allows resources to be assigned to devices so the right person is notified in the event of a failure.
Is this something that is being looked at currently for threshold?
