Post thold 0.2.5 and cacti 0.8.6c
I've been running cacti 0.8.6c and thold 2.1a for a while now but was interested in trying out 2.5. from what I can tell, though, it appears I need to upgrade to at least cacti 0.8.6f in order to get the required plugin architecture to be able to use 2.5. is this correct?
thanks!

I don't actually mantain patches for 0.8.6c anymore, but it would be fairly easy for me to create them (someone else had asked for them also). I myself still run C in my production enviroment, but mainly because it is so heavily modified that I don't want to get into that mess until I have to (I plan on upgrading eventually though). I have several test servers setup, and these are what I do most of my developmental work on.

Anyways, I will see about back porting the patches, and will post back when I am done.

The other one was me : )

I'm using a Debian Sarge (stable) so only 0.8.6c was available. I decided to upgrade to the Etch-0.8.6f cacti package so I could use plugin arch + updated thold. Tradeoff : I don't have automatic security patches for Cacti anymore. But for now I'm fine with it.
